Question about 1377 restricted transfer port (Canada/UK)

Amongst other things, I've read that the transfer port on the restricted Canadian and UK 1377 is smaller than that on American guns.

I'm about to undergo a few modifications on mine as it's restricted to 495 FPS, so want to gain as much knowledge as possible on everything before I proceed.

When people say the Canadian/UK transfer port is smaller, do they mean the physical dimensions of the actual component are smaller than the American TP, or are they just referring to the exhaust hole/bore size?

I ask, as I don't want to invest in an upgraded/larger TP if it doesn't fit in the barrels without fettling & drilling.

It is interchangeable with the US transfer port, just has a smaller hole through it....

With the wealth of info I've accrued here in such a short time, I feel I'm now ready to proceed with modifying this, so will post my results when I'm finished.
