1322 vs 2240..

Going to ask this question,for the sake of curiosity (my own!), of the people on this Gate, that are in the know.
 I do not have a chrono.
 Okay, going by the info in the ads in the PA catalog, a 1322 (10.1 inch barrel)and a 2240 (7.5 inch barrel) have about the same velocity,about 460 fps.
        I have a 2240 with an aluminum breech and a 14.5 barrel, which with the info I've been finding, puts this up to around 570(?) fps.
This is all stock, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Now here's my question...that one is co2....what can I expect by swapping that same breech and barrel onto my stock 1322, at 10 pumps?
 Seems like in co2 that is about 10 fps per inch.... will my 1322 (on air) be more or less powerful?

From experience you will probably be around 470-480 with 14.3 grain pellets.

Your FPS varies with the weight of the pellet too.

I recently did a 1422 with a 18 inch barrel and it gets 500 FPS with 14.3g Crosman pellets.

You can do a flat top valve and piston in the pumper. That would help. Co2 is not so great in cold weather.

Yep, I know about that. But will keep them stock.

I have both guns.  For a while I had a stock and 14.5" barrel on the 2240, but when I got the 1322 I decided to use them on it.  I wanted to have one of them as a pistol, and since I miss more often with a pistol, and missing with a co2 gun is less irksome than missing with a pumper, the 2240 went back to its original configuration and I turned the 1322 into a carbine with a scope.

Forgot to mention that the 2240 is a co2 hog with a short barrel, so the longer barrel definitely makes more efficient use of the gas.  I'd like to put a power adjuster on mine so I can dial it down and get more shots per fill.

I have a 2240 carbine, and a 2240 pistol with a 10" barrel,and a 2240 with the 7 1/2" barrel.
Definite gas hogs and quite loud but I enjoy them.
The carbine has a ldc on that 14.5" barrel. 
 The 10" pistol has a DIY power adjuster.

Just wondered if there were any gains to putting that longer barrel on the pumper, without all the extra mods.
I will leave well enough alone! lol

You will gain some speed. You will have a quiet gun when shooting. Depending on the barrel, it "may be more accurate, especially if the 1322 has a plastic breach. You will need a different front barrel band for the 1322 as it will go through the sight. Once you have the backpacker front band its a minute or two to switch. If it was MINE, which it's not, I would swap in the winter and enjoy the pumper. Only you can decide if it's worth changing the front barrel band on the pumper.

You can ream the stock barrel band easily too if your trying to pinch pennies or if you don’t want to tear to much of your gun apart.

I have a 2240, 2250B and a 2260. I looked at getting a pumper because of the winter problem but after research I cant see any power advantage at any level that would make me want 10 pumps per shot. I park the co2 for the winter and use my pcp. From what I have read getting more power from a 13xx takes much more work than a 22xx
