New HW30S owner

Caved in and Amazon primed the JSB 7.33. I have some guns I want to sell and then I'll order a crapload of JSBs from PA and make the shopping worth it. I've been reading other HW30S posts from this forum, and seems like I don't have to worry about any kind of leading from the Crosmans because the FPS is so low, right?

WRONG.

It is because they are made of a harder material than soft leaded JSB's.  You should still clean the barrel though...
Air Arms pellets are softer still, I believe.

Hi guys, it's been about 300 shots or so. It's shooting excellently well but I still smell burning oil here and there. No detonation, and power levels seem normal (No chrony, just judging by the time it takes pellets to make steel ring). I have not introduced oils or grease, gun is untouched. Nothing to worry about right?

Nothing to worry about.  They do that sometimes.

First tin of 500 JSB 7.33 has been used up, and I have 4 more on hand. I've got the iron sights pretty well tuned. This rifle is excellent for spinners in the back yard.

The only thing I have lubricatd is the ball latch, looked a little dry. Everything else is working perfectly.

Keeping that ball latch lubed with a heavier oil like straight 30 weight is important for that rifle. I use Pedro's synthetic bicycle chain oil not sure if it is around any more but you get the idea. Just keep the oil away from inside the breech and barrel pivot area.

I have a tube of that from about 25 years ago. I thought I was the only one using it on airguns!

I think it's still around online. Not sure if it's the same formula though.

I am using the smallest dab of molly grease on the latch ball, small enough amounts to keep it away from the transfer port and muzzle, I know it could cause detonation if I was bareless and put it in those places.

Krale usually sticks to the basic Weihrauch line, which doesn't include the HW30 Deluxe.
I would ask Krale if they could order it for you ...

Two questions though - How do you sight in with that peep so far away?

What stock is that? I've not seen that forearm checkering pattern before.
