Paintball tanks for PCPs

Can paintball tanks such as this one (4500psi rating, 68cu in/1114cc) be used for PCPs?

Are you thinking of going tethered, when shooting, or just filling the AG?

You may have to check the output PSI from the reg, if you run it over 3000+ psi, to stay within your AG's operating arena.

It is way to big in diameter, for direct mounting to your air rifle etc. 

Need more info, on why you want to use this tank..........

The tank you linked is regulated to 800-850 psi.... no good for filling or tethering PCPs.... It might be usable for tethering a CO2 gun, depending on the design of it....

As you can obviously tell, my knowledge of tanks & regulators is minimal.
I was hoping that paintball tanks (read as inexpensive) such as the one in the link could be used for topping up 100- 200cc air guns.
Not filling from empty.
Just topping up from approximately 1000-2000; or 1800-2800psi.

I'm sure here are many things (that I do not know) to consider for this application

Have seen quite a few CF paintball tanks used as Carry / fill bottles with a valve change.   EXPERTHPA sells a valve set that fits there threading.

Right you are about cost!
Even with the used paintball tank I found locally on Craigslist, the Airhog setup is only $25 more for new gear.

That old adage: A boat is just a hole in the water to pour money into is quite flexible & can suit many endeavors
