Question about SPA cr600w /Plinkster cylinder

Does it exist hole on cylinder as on CP2?
How much is the volume cc this cylinder?
What is the working pressure?

Old version does not have the hole.

The tube never holds pressure....the co2 verion's valve is not sealed (o-ringed) to the air tube so it really can't hold any pressure.  Co2 version works by jamming the bottom 12gr. into a seal at the front end of the tube, so only the 12gr. cartridge holds pressure.


Guess they put the hole in the tube as an added safety precaution (if there is a co2 leak, would leak out the hole rather than back though the action towards your face)...or just to keep folks from using the tube for pressure holding.

600W...mine is old enough to be from MrodAir(Plinkster)

Tube solid, no holes. BUt you still couldn't pressurize the tube as the valve is NOT sealed to the air tube on the inside....the tube doesn't hold any pressure becasue the valve body and front end cap are not made to seal.

More recent 600W's,sold by Diana, seem to have a tiny vent hole closer to the front end cap. Maybe 1/12th to 1/16"large?  Same function,just to give any co2 leaking from a 12gr.a place to escape besides back towards the shooter's face.

Which isn't really an important thing right now, as I can't find a place selling them...Diana has pretty much gone with the "Chaser"as their co2 option.

I would not....but if you really-really have to and you have a solid 600W tube...would try to find a complete 700W valve (which I know will drop right in) that is sealed to the air tube, a 700W fill cap (with gauge) that is sealed to the tube, and just TRUST that the short co2 tube could handle maybe 1800psi of air.

IF you are into mods,could cut the valve body of the 600W for o-rings that would seal it like a 700W (Diana Outlaw). Machine the existi9ng end cap for an o-ring,drill and tap the end cap for a fill nipple (likely I'd machine off the "excess"), and then TRUST the cow tube is actually made from the same tube-stock as the PCP version.

Oppps….the cp2 pretty much runs on the same "guts" as the 600W...just a shorter tube for one 12gr. 

Don't have one.  Have the earlier version made as the MrodAir "target master"....different look, same tube and "guts".

No vent hole, but the conversion to PCP use would follow the same pattern as the 600W (valve sealed to the inside of the air tube, front fill system sealed to the inside of the air tube, and a really tiny volume likely limited to the3 same max as a co2 paintball tank (1800psi...although 1500 would bew more "sane").\

Noticed you are not in the US...are in Croatia?


That does make a differnce.   In US dollars,can still find a Gen I 700W  for about $130-$150as a refurbished PCPrifle.... condiering the work/spare parts of converting a co2 to )CP, that seems a pretty good deal for a whole new rifle.


BUT I haven't a clue about your country's airgun laws (other than they pretty much can't be as liberal as US laws). so haven't a clue if converting an existing co2 would be "politically" better than buying a new PCP version (more likely keeping them both, the co2 for summer use and the PCP for cold weaher use).
