There are some used here in TX in FT. They shoot darn good. From an accuracy standpoint they are no different than a TX200. I think the TX is used more as the cocking arm is longer and more comfortable/easier to cock. I am LH so I don't own one. If they ever came out with a walnut LH version I would own one. IMO they are the best looking spring rifle ever made. The best looking PCP is the Daystate Regal. 2 great looking rifles.
because I'm a Prosport owner/shooter, I wanted to know if a Prosport is so good out of the box why isn't there barely any being used in competitions/tournaments?
if a Prosport is so good out of the boxIts accurate, but IMO it needs a proper lubing and checking internals. Sometimes factory spring ends like a claw, not flat ended-yeah it happens even with AA, its not good for the airgun and cycle shot, need to be fixed. My new prosport had terrible twang, custom made fitted and longer spring guide changed everything. IMO prosport needs a little tuning out of the box. why isn't there barely any being used in competitions/tournamentsActually prosport is one of the most popular and successful airgun in HFT in springers category. Im talking about europe, where limit is set up to 12 fpe along with older brother tx200 and HW 97/77 eg: https://www.anstonftc.co.uk/tag/hft/ However those types of competitions are probably not very popular in the states, who would like to shoot 12 fpe 177 cal springer at 41 meters if you can shoot 50 fpe 25 cal pcp without limits
