Photo Posting Question...

The difference I see is that sourced from GTA, it can't be clicked on to enlarge. Linking from my photo web host you can click and enlarge.

We've talked about our Media Gate for years. LOL
And the tab has always been on the toolbar above. What I urge folks to do though is host photos elsewhere if possible. If all 15,000 of our members start uploading bunches of high quality photos into our Media Gate we will fill up our server space. Using it for a limited amount of photos should be fine though. I personally have a Media Gate album but also use tinypic.com to host most of mine.
And Rich (amb5500c) handles the Media Gate. He does approvals so it may be a day or so before he checks in. I went ahead and approved those that were waiting.

Rather than have my pic all load at the bottom of the post. Maybe by toying with the preview option...

You can use Insert Image anywhere in a post you want the picture to appear.
Blah, Blah then return - return (to add a space between text and photo) then hit Insert Image.

Copy the Direct link. And use Insert Image. Then paste the Direct link between the brackets.

So... While it will work to post a photo from GTA media... Thefe is still a limit to how many photos a member can store there; and there is an approval process for said photos... Correct?

Don't know of any limit on the number of photos you can store. I'll tackle that if it becomes an issue.
And yes, EVERY album created has to be approved. Not sure if every photo has to be. But should be. We have found some content we just don't want or need here. Mainly offensive and against our rules related photos.

Please bear with me here Dave. I am using what I think is the direct link (the one in my web browser box) and that is the one I copied as the "one I'm using". I see that the "direct link" you used for that pic is different.

What am I doing wrong here? That's also the link I get from the GTA media viewer when I have that pic up.

When I click on the link you provided, it opened the photo page in the Media Gate. The very bottom line is the Direct link. I simply copied that link, came back to this thread, selected insert image and posted that Direct link. That's all I did...
