Trigger mods for 1377?
«

As I am experiencing the learning curve for holding and shooting spring/gas piston rifles, I have had random thoughts about getting a 1377 and gradually modding it into a little carbine. Can the trigger be improved enough to be decent, or are there some good aftermarket triggers that improve it a lot?

1377/pc77 is a great choice. There are atleast a couple of aftermarket triggers and sear spring kits out there. You can also tear down and smooth out the existing components of the stock trigger. So far I have made no mods to the trigger, [lots of work everywhere else though] and am still enjoying the gun everytime I take it out.
I got a lot of my parts through Mellon air.

I recently polished mine and it's pretty smooth right now. Made a spring guide and lubed everything in sight. A trigger shoe helped too. Did the full carbine on mine.

I squish the sear spring a few times, sliding over a screwdriver and using a washer to compress it. Then polish the mating surfaces. I use a white hobby grease that's plastic compatible too.
An empty .22lr hull makes a great spring guide too. The rat shot type can be trimmed to a very nice fit.
I always solder a piece of brass strip to the face of the old brass triggers. The new black ones are already wider.
FYI...
The lead weights help balance the pistol to my liking.
