Are you planning on keeping your Disco now?
I find the maximus stock ergonomics are to my liking. It does not flex like the mrod syn stock. Like almost all syn stocks, it does have that hollow sound that is easily fixed by stuffing the butt with Styrofoam. They are generally about a 1lb lighter than the wood counterpart. Last time I purchased one, they were $18 + $4 shipping. Crosman has raised the shipping on long items such as barrels and stocks, to around $15. Check to see if the stock lug is different than disco.I use this on the maximus stock: and matches the stock well. LOP is 15" which is perfect for me. It also provides a non-skid butt plate, as the oem one is rather slick standing on hard floors...
I felt the stock on the Discovery I had was too short. So, I added some length - easy and cheap.
What size pad does your Maximus stock use? FYI I've read that the Maximus stock uses a longer screw than the Disco.
Jmo, but I have a disco and my son has a Maxi, side by side the lop is pretty much the same. I prefer wood stocks, but if it were not for the fact that I am installing a double tube kit on mine, I would buy a Maxi stock for it because the grip is shaped different and feels better to me. Where the disco grip feels blocky and is more rearward leaving me wanting to add material, the maxi has a grip more inline with a varmiter. No it is not a varmit stock lol, just feels better in my hand, Fuller with better ergos if you will.
