Feinwerkbau Sport (.177)

The obvious question is when the .22 version of the Sport will come out.  If it does I'm saving my money. 

Likes:  Fine work everywhere down to the finishing.  The wood is dark beech looking like Tyrolian Walnut.  Screws have to be re-tightened LESS frequently than all my HW models.  Include the Walther for more times to re-tighten.  The gun is exactly what I call a "gun."  This is because you only need ammunition and you can go anywhere anytime to gun anything needing gunning with this gun.  It has the power.  It has the accuracy.  It is not selective in pellets.  I am using only Crossman 10.5gr Premiers now.  The lighter pellets just go faster but I like giving the spring more inertia to overcome by using the heaviest made. 

Dislikes: The stock is fake Tyrolian Walnut.  The gun is never wrong when I miss.  Despite trying different scopes the iron sights have beat out most scopes I've tried.  Now it has a Burris II Compact Fullfield 4-16X 32mm.  Be careful that the scope you use is durable and visually superior with a cross wire you can see in the same plane as the target.  This means dialing out parallax so don't use a fixed parallax scope.  Use an expensive scope--it will match the rifle better and last the length of time the gun does.  Because the gun is very pretty it shouldn't be used as a general purpose gun, even though that is what I use mine for.  I figure I'll just have to shoot it out before getting another .177--and; additionally, I have a penchant for another one in .22 which is a costly endeavor I intend to ruin myself for!

Summary:  Although not a starter gun for first timers it is easily added for more sensible power without going crazy with Mach I speed levels--which a lot of air rifles today are capable of.  If you compare prices you'll pay the extra only if to keep it forever and not see it break.  Lock time is accelerated and so is the action/reaction in the gun.  It is closer to my Theoben Gas Ram Eliminator in firing behavior:  Fast.  Sharp. Startling. Accurate. Devastating (enough).

Comparable rifles in price are not to be found.  This occurred to me when I looked over every springer made today with their prices and availability.  The FWB Sport has enough of all to do all for ONLY $800 for life. There are more expensive but why? Target shooting (which can go into thousands).
