List of BC for cast bullets

I notice the 2nd chart on the Lyman bullets has three BCs listed, dependant on velocity.... Unfortunately, they don't do subsonic....

Looking at the trend line for velocities and BC it would appear the 257420 as an example would have a BC closer to .2 than the .12 I’ve been using . Good catch Bob . If I had the confidence to shoot over my chrony at 100 yards I’d confirm . But truth be told I’m not that great of a shot .

Actually, I think dyotat100 says that the subsonic BC for the 257420 is about 0.14.... The SD is only 0.151, and it is unusual for a flat base bullet to have a FF less than 1.... so the subsonic BC is usually less than the SD....

Nothing is linear when you go through the transonic range....

I would imagine the GC basewiuld help a little ?

I think the 0.14 is for the GC 257420....

Can use Chaigun for a rough estimate.... has a b.c. from trajectory widget...
