Too bad they won't ship them to me or to the store in illinois.  If the local ww carried the domes they would honor that price, but they only stock the cphp

When TSC began selling them they were $7. Now they are $7.99.

  yes, that is agravating, I just tried to order . no go, I went round & round with WM a couple of yrs ago over this , called & talked to 2 different managers, told them that they sell CPHP, why cant I buy  CPUM 's  ? it is some stupid law in Illinois , I told the I was removing them from my email list & did, I  still shop @ WM (live about 1 1/2 miles from there) , but do not even go to the sporting section. about a yr ago they put all of the pellets behind the counter , said kids were stealing.. BTW  I have a FOID card , but it did not matter to management..

Right now WM won't ship CPUM to CA either, they have in the past and I am confident they will in the future too, because they just have too many employees that have more authority than brains, it isn't the law! This sale is probably just to sell off a buy someone made by mistake when they were suppose to order CPHP instead of the very "dangerous outlawed CPUM's"  LOL.  My local Tractor Supply has them for $7.99 all the time and I buy some every time I go there. I go to WalMart as a last resort if no one else has something and make a point to never impulse but there. The one thing I have bought at Walmart almost exclusively is C02 40 counts when it is on sale for $13ish a couple times a year. I have made sure the manager at Tractor Supply knows they are the only ones to carry the CPUM and he said they will continue to get them in. I know stupid can't be fixed so I just check each time I see a sale posted to see if the current employee is smart enough to allow it on the current sale of airgun or pellets.

Out of curiosity I tried to order only to get the ridiculous notice that they won't ship them to me.  I've run into this several times with WM over the years.  I have successfully purchased 2 PCP rifles from them as well as an air pistol online in the last 5 years or so but then, for no apparent reason, they have refused to sell me a couple of other air rifles I've tried to purchase.  During one phone conversation with WM over this issue I asked them how it was possible that I was able to purchase 3 different air rifles in the past but they were now refusing to sell me another air rifle.  The response I received was simply "I don't know but we can't complete the purchase you are trying to make now".  Just doesn't make any sense.  As for pellets, I've never been able to order pellets from them online which is even more ridiculous.

My brother has a business and a supplier sent him a letter about if his product had dangerous materials concerning the sale of this product in California.

His reaction was to call supplier and tell them his product would not be available for California.
(even though it had been sold in California for over 50 years.)

This could be what is going on, a knee jerk reaction...businesses don't want to be hassled with stringent laws...which can cause law-suits...

I'm sure you're correct,,, it's just a shame that this is slowly becoming the norm.

My local always has the .22 hollow points for $5 something, but I have never seen the domes.

Funny thing is that the .177 CPHP is a dollar more than the .22 CPHP. Both are 500 count tins.

It is the shape of pellets that determines if they are OK or NOT. LOL
Walmart has too many people making decisions, it just depends on who gets the assignment. Repeatedly they go back and forth on these pellets and even the 2240, they allow-don't allow- allow- don't allow allow-don't allow- allow- don't allow allow-don't allow- allow- don't allow. I just check each sale I see and when it is allowed again I will see it!

Guy's.. consider yourselves lucky that they won't ship to you. Because the shape of the pellets you would receive would be beat, banged and dented.

I pick up at store and check them, and haven't had a problem yet. Now Amazon is another story!
