Looking for a special size front globe insert

Not sure where to post this - maybe there should be an Optics gate?

Anyway, I'm looking for a front globe sight insert that will fit my IZH MP-61 and my MP-532. The 61 came with no insert and the 532 came with a clear plastic style. The plastic one measures .654" O.D.

Attached is a pic of the parts inside the 532 sight. The brass ring is a 1.5 magnifier lens insert.

I've been searching all over the web and cannot find them.

Any ideas?

My FWB 300 has a 18mm front sight but the clear plastic inserts from Champions Choice measure .678", 17.2mm. You could buy a set and sand them down to fit.

Thanks for that dimension. Gives me something to go by other than what came with my rifle. I have a guy in Russia trying to source the original inserts from the Baikal factory.

I'm resorting to making my own plastic inserts based on the O.D. of the one I have. Found a plastics supplier that is laser cutting me about 90 discs in three different colors for $30. I can drill the center holes to diff diameters and diff bevels to suit my needs. Just need to find a set of drill bits in 0.2mm increments, starting at 2.0.

I actually like the plastic better. It looks like an o-ring floating in air.
