Gauntlet tank output pressure question

 I got one of the early Gauntlets in .22 caliber and have really been enjoying the gun with zero problems. My question though is, my tank says 1250 psi on it and two of my friends, who picked up their .22’s more recently, say 1100 psi. What goes?  Why the change?

My guess is an attorney got involved!  LOL!  I have an early .22 Gauntlet also and while mine says 1250ps, when I tested it, the actual output it was under 1000psi.  I have mine set at 1300psi right now and it's giving me great power, accuracy and shot count!  From what I have read, 1250psi to 1300psi is the sweet spot for these air rifles, at least the .22 versions.

Have you tested the output of yours to see what the actual psi is?
