I would set it to whatever power you like with the hammer spring adjuster, it won't hurt anything and that's what it is there for.  I just don't see any sense in shooting any pellet over 900fps personally.

but I guess it will use a bit more of air if I increase the power right? A bit more power could help while doing 100 yards, but again, I'm not shooting at 100 yards either. I'll leave it at 885 avg.

Yeah it will use more air the more you turn up the power.
