best place to buy a .25 marauder. different features?

I finally have the availabe funds to purchase my first .25 and I have decided the marauder gives me the bestdeal snd features that I am looking for. I get power for hunting with great accuracy. lots of mods and instructions for different tunes.

I found a gen 2 on amazon but it's just the gun not even a magazine is included so there goes the cheap price. then in the q and a section people were asking If it had a regulator. and they said the regulator can be turned on and off but that was the the combo package with the scop.and sling, as well as the kit came with a mild tune of polished trigger and internals maybe a better barrel? some said it was a gen 3? I wasn't aware of any of this.
 I know if I put one together on the crosman cuatom shop I can get it regulated but can you enable or disable the regulator based on what you are doing?. I have a scope so I don't really need to buy the one that comes with one but if there was an option thay had a regulator I could disable or other cool stuff I would like the option.

anyone who can help me sort out the truth of these many claims would be much appreciated. and if you could point me to what site I can get the best deal on it would help make this decision a bit easier.  too much misinformation on amazon

Seeing you have a compressor? I'd go without the reg to start. You could always add one down the road.
I did regs (until I got the AV compressor) for shot count.
With the compressor? I can go for power and not worry about the shot count.

No, there is no on/off for a regulator.  You either have a regulator installed or you don't.  A gen II is what you want then later add a reg for under $150 once you figure out what power level you want.  The regs are typically best for low to mid-powered tunes and not for high power tunes.

I believe you are getting confused with the Marauder F&T model.   Some people have refered to this as a Gen 3.  It does come with a regulator, and other options via crosman custom shop.   It was originally suppose to have an on/off capability when it was announced two years ago.  When it became available at the end of last year, that feature was not included.  It is only available in 177 and 22 cal.   I have not heard of any plans to offer it in 25 cal. 

Just buy the oem Gen 2 25 cal.  Pick your stock, wood or syn.  If you want to regulate, that will involve aftermarket parts. 

I'm not sure who has best prices, but consider that crosman still has the "AGNATION" code worth 25% off, and if ordering on Friday, free shipping.  PA has quarterly sales that are 10-12% w/free shipping.

ok yeah since it was on amazon the reviews were for all 3 calibers. I would like to have a higher power tune on it and I am going to add the extra air tube mod asap.  I got a hammers 3x9x50 which will work for now I'll upgrade it down the road. I am planning on just purchasing 2 mags if they don't come with it Idk maybe 3 depending on what I can get em for.. thanks for all the input I thought it didn't sound right since I spend most my time trolling researching snd shooting and have never heard of an on off reg option. I'll just price check around and see what deal I can conjure up. thanks guys I can't wait to delve into pcp rifles

If you wind up having to purchase magazines or not, here's a link to a 3D printed 10-round magazine for a .25 cal.  These have received good reviews from many here on the GTA and are reasonably priced.  It's nice having the extra two shots before reloading.  I would like a few myself, but already have seven 8-round mags and don't need them.

Oh you're the man. thanks def saving that. i decided ro go with crosman 150 off and only 13 dollars shipping. cant beat that with a stick, pipe or a bat.  so do any of you know what comes with the marauder .25 from crosman they dont say...do i get atleast 1 mag? either way my brother is a 3d printing, water jet cutting  )&^%*^ engineer so whenever I need something odd or I break something or trying to save money we just make it. he made me 3 types of baffles for an ldc 1 set of baffles is marauder cup baffles the other is the style you see in powder burner silencers where the flat planes alternate angles. but I will def make some mags for back up.

You'll get 1 magazine included with the Marauder. They won't leave you out in the lurch like that, but one nice thing about Crosman is that their magazines are dirt cheap. I'm glad you took FuzzyGrub's advise to purchase direct from Crosman with the AGNATION discount code, I was going to recommend the same thing.

As stated, it comes with one mag, but you will want a couple more.   They use to come with a degassing tool, but crosman stopped that a while ago.  You can still just shoot it down, if need be.  Outside of the mag, just a couple of users manuals.

I would recommend making or buying a degassing tool.  It's still the best, and safest way to degas the gun when you need to.  You can shoot it down or open the bleed valve on a fill assembly or hand pump and very slowly let air out over a long period of time or crack the gauge and do it that way, but again not the safest and takes a long time.  Any small amount of air still left in the air reservoir when removing the fill assembly will shoot the fill assembly out like a bullet when it comes off the threads.  If you get into modding the gun and needing to degas frequently, the degas tool will be a key tool to have.

 Oh btw if you dont know about honey its an app that runs through all the different discount codes out there and finds the best deal for you for any site. It will pop up at check out and click add code and it will brute force style apply codes from its the web doesnt take long but it enters it then sees if it is still valid then if it is it tries others and applies whatever one has the best savings. Really awesome.

 Mags arent that cheap. they are 18 and some change and like 12 after agnation code which is about on par with amazon. where i can get free shipping. But im going to buy a few of them 3d printed mags for the extra 2 shots. My neighbor is an airgun genius and he has a big @@@ metal lathe and some other giant machines i cant even remember the names of haha. So if he doesnt have a degassing tool we could make one or again i can get a diagram and dimensions offline and have my brother cut me one with the waterjet. 12 bucks for a mag is dirt cheap.  Daystate over 100 bucks. Some of the FX are way up there. BSA, Urban, Rainstorm about 59 and up.

"dang" I always just drool over the high end guns never priced out mags. thats crazy expensive. i cant see any reason they should cost that much.. But I'm young and my girlfriend and I have been renovating a 1945 old mill house on the haw  river of nc, so at times dropping that extra 12 bucks 3 or 4 times for 50 bucks worth of clips is hard after the big initial purchase. but what the heck i grabbed 2 of the 10 shot 3d printed mags recommended above  and like 6 tins of pellets so that should hold me for now. and youre right knife i am grateful i can afford the convenience of a handful of extra clips without it costibg thr price of a nice mid level rifle. my mrod comes tomorrow, I feel like a kid at christmas right now if I could call out of work to wait for the mail lady I would haha.
