My testing  paper target is on the same or similar  direction and distance as the starling disturber.

It happen,starlings around my house keep disturbing my pellets traiectories

I have the same problem except it's with Brown Headed Cow Birds, the Starlings learned quick to avoid my yard, the Cow Birds aren't quite that smart.

Yes, after ten yers of my hard working they are much rare at my yard. Hovewer they still attack first fruits ( strawberry, cherry, apricots and also tomatoes ).   Anfortunately people have  decimated/eliminated  falcos/birds of prey  therefore we have to substitude them.

Even though Brown-headed Cowbirds are native to North America, many people consider them a nuisance bird, since they destroy the eggs and young of smaller songbirds and have been implicated in the decline of several endangered species, including Kirtland's Warbler and Black-capped Vireo

Very similar it is with the starlings at EU.

Not in Texas they aint! Strange you would declare that without actually knowing one way or another. They lay their egg is song birds nest,due to the fact that they will NOT build their own next.  the song bird sits on their nest and the cowbird chicks are   hatched larger and kick the song bird chicks out of the nest. They are considered a destructive species. Not protected!!!

Many a Cowbird had disturbed the trajectory of my JSB'S!  And hope they will continue.

You are correct sir. Texas is fair game for cow birds
