Bob/Lloyd
What would your SWAG be for converting a Ninja 4500 psi reg down to 3000 psi,
this reg will be used between the 4500 CF tank then down to 3000 psi for using tethered,
to the 13/3000 Ninja rifle tank.
I have a couple of sacks of each of the following sizes of bell washers,
.047"/.032"/.022" with lots of shims from .001" thru .025".
I know that you (Bob) had a post on a couple of converted Ninja reg,
but can't seem to find the post now, now that I need it.
Thank you,
Don

I would use the 0.047", a stack of 8 in series.... ) ( ) ( ) ( ) ( .... plus some flat shims.... You can try adding a 9th one on the piston end if there is room, but the regulator may be very close to coil bound with the extra one.... but if not the pressure should be very close to 3000 psi.... I have one like that and it ended up at about 2950.... The thinner Bellevilles are not stiff enough, and you would have to use them in pairs, easier and better to just use the thick ones....
Reg. Body.... ) ( ) ( ) ( ) ( ) .... Piston

Thank you, Bob
I am building my inline reg for the 4500 psi CF SCBA tanks, for tethering for testing/starling thumping.
I'll post the results after building, for those following down this path.

Don, if you are using it just for tethering a 13 CI / 3000 psi tank, which is then running your gun.... it won't matter if the reg. ends up at 2700-3000 psi.... because the reg. on the tank will reduce it further anyways....

Bob
Just a follow up, It works..........
I used 8 - .047" disc's and and no shims, the psi is dead on the nose at 2500 psi,
with 3000 psi in the 4500 CF tank, I think I'll leave it right there for now.
Thank you,
Don
