Hatsan front sight replacement.

Hi ! Have anyone experience replacing  the front sight of their Hatsan QE shrouded barrel ? The original front sight is too big. When I aim at my 3" targets at  25 metres,  the front sight totally cover my target. I hope for your understanding. The front sight is fitted on a 8 or 9 mm rail. Is there a after market choice or some other brands that are possible to replace it.

I’ve had the same issue. I’m just chiming in here to see what answers roll in. I briefly thought about filing the sight somewhat into a point. But there isn’t a lot of material to work with before getting into the fiber optic sight pin.

Lucky devil, there is one old GTA thread regarding  this issue too.And some one even took out the red fibre optic out , and he claimed that he was able to see the targets then. I am hoping a replacement if possible, as I could not take the fibre optic out unless I break it.

One would think that with it being dovetailed in... That alternate options were available. Or were intended to become available at some point...

 Use the top of the fiber optic site as your aim not the whole dot. you can fine tune your shooting to overcome that huge obstruction. Top of sight is where you set your aim. Any part of the target you don't want to hit is hidden by the Fiber optic.

thats kinda what I was doing when it wasn’t scoped. Like a seal balancing a ball on its nose... the ball was my target. The top of the sight was the seals nose. Even so... There’s got to be a better way...

Thanks, James. Tomorrow morning. I will try your suggestion to elevate the leverage of the rear sight higher so that I can see my aiming  targets 'on' top of the front sight . As the rear sight leverage was already quite high due to my rifle being the QE shroud barrel with the front sight. Anyway, I will try and report back to this thread a again.

James, Big thanks to you.I have nothing but good to say that it works. I can even hit the 2" targets now. I am impress now with my H95QE . It is indeed a very accurate rifle.
