Toddbrat makes some excellent points in favor of the Urban. I have two that the boys shoot mostly, and they love them, I find them too front heavy and heavy overall, but both will do 3/8" groups at 50 on a good day, which is plenty accurate enough for small game and pesties..I grabbed 3 of the Hatsan AT-44S-10 rifles at $299 on clearance from Field Supply last summer, and they are much like the Urban ergonomically, but waaaaay more power, and heavier. We use them off bipods and they are a ball to shoot..I currently only have one expensive PCP, an HW110 .22 FAC, and it gets shot less than most of my other PCPs because the lower priced guns get 'er done without risking a $1k gun out in the woods. She's a one-holer at 50 yards, so we target shoot with her at the range mostly, but it get's boring putting pellet on pellet all day, ha ha!The truth is that there are more 'more better' entry-level and mid-level PCPs out now than ever before, and nobody can buy just one, believe me, that's a true fact, lol..My advice is to expect a lifestyle change instead of an all-satisfying 'one and done' purchase plan. See all those sig lines here where folks have dozens of guns? That may well be YOU by the time a year or two more go by, ha ha!If you are patient, the Hatsan Flash and Benjamin Fortitude look to be just what you are lookin' for, too. I'll add one or more of both to my airsenal once they hit the market, believe me! :-) chickie
You will only know what gun fits you once you have it and shoot it, not reviews nor suggestions will ever substitute that.
if I turn off the lights before I take it out of its case, it actually feels really good in my hands.
+1 ChickieI have owned many, as others have as well. There is no right and wrong, you will get the bug and want to try many... you will have a favorite, but there are so many choices... Pick a gun to start that you are comfortable with, but know that it is a start. Don't tell the significant other what you pay for the next one or you are doomed...
