Earl, thank's for posting. Always wanted one and at this price why not! Ordered and shipping on Dec 6. I hope it likes RWS Superdomes as I have a lot of this pellet (another Walmart special $4 last year).

This is the 490 fps model at a bargain price of $77.33 for target shooting. 
There are also the .177 cal 1000 fps model and the .22 cal 800 fps for hunting but they are not on sale.
My 1000 fps model likes the JSB 8.44 gr.
When my 490 fps model arrives, I will shoot several types of pellets and post the ones that are the most accurate.

Earl, that's just what I want it for. It will be interesting to see what fps rifle is actually shipped. I don't care, the 490 fps should have less cocking effort than the 1000 fps. Either way I'm a happy with this deal.

It makes a funny noise like the piston is jerking forward.
I will return it to Walmart.

My 1000 fps model works good and is accurate.

I had a Leverage. You're going to find it shoots more like 800-900fps. The ads are wrong unless it maybe is made for a Canadian market. PA had a SMK 208 once. Same as an Air Hawk Elite (both Air Hawks with a thumb hole stock). Smk 208 was for the Brit market 800fps and the AH Elite was for the U.S. market 1000fps.

Is it really 490 fps?

The 490 fps model shot JSB 8.44 grain pellets at 512 fps.
The 1000 fps model shoots JSB 8.44 grain pellets at 870 fps.

My 490 fps model was not as accurate as my 1000 fps model.
My 1000 fps model will shoot 10 shots of JSB 8.44 gr into a ragged hole at 18 yards, c-c about 0.3 inches.

My Browning Leverage 490 fps model started shooting again yesterday.
My guess is that it needed oil on the piston.
It is still not as accurate as my 1000 fps model.
I will shoot it awhile longer before returning it to Walmart.
Maybe it will settle in and get accurate.

It sounds like the spring has lost its strength and the piston is jerking forward in 8 or 10 steps.
I cannot figure it out.
I will return it to Walmart.

I received the 2nd Browning Leverage 490 fps from Walmart that will not shoot.
The first one shot about 50 shots and stopped shooting.
The second one never would shoot at all. Model 2252295 sn 00010722-C
The piston creeps forward slowly but does not move the pellet at all.
I think Walmart may have a bad batch of the 490 fps model.

I also have the 1000 fps model and it is an EXCELLENT air rifle.

My regular Browning Leverage that shoots 917 fps with JSB 8.44 gr and 858 fps with JSB 10.34 gr is an EXCELLENT rifle, accurate, beautiful, works good, heavy 10.1 pounds.

The two 490 fps models that Walmart has sent to me just would not shoot.
The first one did shoot several shots but did not seem to be accurate.
With the 2nd one, I oiled the piston and took it apart and oiled the spring and it finally did start shooting.
The fps varied from 340 to 536 fps so I am sending the 2nd one back to Walmart also.
