If the breech seal and buffer is any other color than white/faded yellow color they have been replaced so no worries at all then. The new parts will either be a blue or green for factory new parts or red for ones sourced for Maccari. Just cock the action and look in the end of the compression chamber to see the buffer color and of course the breech seal is right there as well.MikeOk, great, thanks Mike. The bumper is yellow and the breech seal is blue. No lube needed for the ring/seal and cylinder contact? Some one mentioned a drop of non- detergent oil or ATF in the chamber.... something else maybe? I know that's a no-no for most springers but maybe these are an exception because of the piston ring.... I guess that I should spend more time researching and learning rather than shooting? NAH! 😝

If its bright yellow it may have been changed but I have not seen any yellow buffers. To lube the chamber I use a drop of ATF every 1500 to 2000 pellets , since it use a metal ring it does not need much lubing as compared to as synthetic seal. I would just continue to shoot and enjoy while keeping an eye on the buffer so you catch it when it deteriorates so you can change it out. Here is a link to the buffer and breech seal at ARH. http://www.airrifleheadquarters.com/catalog/item/251485/6889471.htmMike
I finally get to play! Not as nice as the wonderful ones pictured here but she is all mine.
How difficult is the side lever to close on the ones here? The last moment of mine seems to get really tight just before it latches. It does have a brand new breech seal so maybe compressing it to conform and seal properly is it.
Dillon, I will be eager to know how the others chime in.I didn't get to spend much time with mine yesterday, my first impressions were very, very good. I "clover-leafed" 3 out of my first 5 shots at 10M, I need to do some adjusting to the butt plate, maybe the trigger, and zero the cheap 4x32 scope I slapped on it. Now, if you look at my sig line, I really don't have anything to compare it to other than my AR2078 and it is a Chinese CO2 10M gun at a fraction of the cost these FWB's were new. It is different, hard to explain, very "mechanical". It is a whole new experience from my other guns. Not bad by ANY means.... I guess the best way to describe it is you feel like it is a precision Machine. Hopefully I will be better able to answer this evening.

I see that you have one in your signature line.... have any pictures to post of it? I'd like to see it if you do. Beware of the man with only one gun! Ha ha ha!Patrick,Could you tell me about the sights you have ? Because of this thread I am looking into getting one but would rather do without a scope if I could. Here you go Brett. I’ve had her packed away for some time but unpacked her recently after deciding it was time to get her out again. Planning on joining the folks in the 10 meter target event starting in April. I’ll be the one with a sack over his head so no one recognizes me. Be getting my butt kicked but think the learning will be big fun. Anyway, you’ve got a prize there. Well done!
