This rifle has been put through the ringer. Broke my rear sight so I put a williams peep on it. Then broke the front sight. After some searching I wound up putting a Masterpiece hooded front band sight on it. Then it fell AGAIN and broke the williams sights. Finally I put a Hawke 4x fixed scope on it and yep the gun fell over and that was the end of the Hawke scope. By the way that was a good scope it held up for a long time. After some searching I came across Skinner sights and put the CZ model on it BUT the profile was to low for my front sight. Luckily I had a bunch of UHMW laying around ( very tough wear resistant plastic) and modified it to the correct height. Its still a work in progress. The front sight is a 2.5mm fiber optic insert with the fiber part cut out. It works great but the front hole is a bit thin probably going to put a small sleeve on it to thicken it up a bit make it easier to see the ring. By the way it's a D34P .22 with a Vortek kit with at least 10,000 rounds through it. Very smooth shooter and quiet. The metal was looking pretty darn bad after extensive use in humid weather so I painted it with Duracoat shake and spray Tactical black and OD green on the stock. My .177 D34P was painted last year and has held up very well but its just a target shooter. This was not a cheap fix, it has been a work in progress for almost a year but it works and I now have irons with a relatively low profile. Hope they don't break anytime soon.
