Login oddity

I just encountered an oddity on login that has occurred a couple of times in the past.  While not an issue, it stuck me as odd and I thought I would see if anyone else has encountered this as well.

When the login page came up, the Captcha figures were all upright before I did anything at all.  Having put in my username and password, I then clicked "Login," assuming that nothing else needed to be done.  Lo and behold, what pops up is a page saying I needed to complete the Captcha correctly in order to login!  Since the Captcha was already correct, what else could have been done?

I understand the necessity for the current login procedure, and applaud the moderator's efforts to keep us and our information safe.  It does seem that the Captcha process gets a little hinky from time to time!

I used to get this too, as have others. Something about a setting on how your computer stores cookies from web pages etc. I have changed the setting and selected the keep me logged in option and no longer have the problem.

yeah I cleared my cookies once and the log in process had me chasing my tail for about 20 minutes.

my account got hacked, I tried to log in and it said i had been banned. I got it straightened out and was told my ip was highjacked.

YEP, just logged in and did everything they asked. Had to do it twice, usually it is three times.It is irritating, oh well

I have to log in twice and on my home computer I can't log out? Thats OK Why would I want to do that anyways LOL.

Yep, I HATE the captcha's

I still have to log in just the 1 time on my laptop and twice on desktop

I got to do it twice on my touch phone. Now thats hard. Never logging out thats for sure.

Yeah, having to login twice is a bit of a pain, but the moderators explained why it was necessary when they instituted the process to keep out the bots that were trying to steal our information.

However, my question was whether anyone else had encountered the Captcha problem I described, with the figures already lined up properly when I first hit the login page and then being told that the Captcha had not been properly completed when I left them that way.

Yes Larry it has happened to me, I closed the browser and reopened it and the figures were moved and I was able to log in
