Good luck on the testing. I can never sleep the night before testing. I look forward to it too much I guess. 

If that is a laser on the front of you gun, how do you like it?

If it is a light, move it to the underside of your gun. It will stop flair on your scope when there is moisture in the air when night hunting.

Knife I the same way, can't sleep the night before I going to test something new and I read that and was so spot on.  I going to test my new Daystate Wolverine .22 HP today (60 fpe .22) and all night that is all I could think about.

Well &^^&!  I guess the two tight groups were just a fluke.. Shot again today after cutting in the leade and my groups opened back up. Oh, and now I have frequent flyers!  I'm just hoping the shroud is bumping it somehow.  I have to go into town to shoot it with out the shroud.  Dang this is depressing.

So I cut the leade as best I could as I was having to use a block of wood to chamber each round.  Well that screwed it up and I was shooting all over the place, I couldn't hit a grapefruit it was so bad.  I thought it was an Airline promotion because of all the frequent flyers I had.  So yesterday I took what was left of the barrel to a local gunsmith and had him true up the mess I made. To compensate for the slightly larger chamber I took my .253 sizing die and enlarged it to .2555 by chucking it up in my drill press and using 400grit around a drill bit to ream it out.  It took a while but I got it right where it drops the bullets .2555 on the money. The groups while not perfect are huntable as seen below of these 40 yard groups:  The bottom three were  7 shot groups from a single fill each so I could judge POI changes between shots 1 through 7. Pretty happy that for the most part all the shots stayed within a .25 cent piece (quarter)

So Photobucket finally got off its arse and posted my pics.  Here is the finished stand. I took everyone's advice and made a couple more modifications.  Added an adjustable front rest and shortened the overall length. Decided that Poly would be nice and Lacquer beautiful, but it is a gun rest and deserves a hand rubbed oil finish.
 
OK, here are a couple groups from yesterday morning. My scope is a digital night vision 8x.   I had the power wheel set at 4.5.  Gun was tethered to a regulated ninja at 3000psi.  Ammo is the Hunter Supply 63gr #257 sized .2555. Was able to shoot this 4 shot 60 yard group that I'm happy with.
 
So I walked back to the bench and shot 2 more rounds and the change in pressure from the delay between shots moved the POI

I then moved the vertical cross hairs over one slot (about 4 pixel).  Here is my view through the scope,

After the adjustment I removed the tethered air tank and shot 3 shots,
It started at 3000psi and after the 3rd shot it was at 2600psi, based on a previous test the velocity was at 965fps and ending at 945 fps


All in all I'm very pleased with the results of both the airgun and the stand.
