Springer shooting bench different?

I predominately shoot springers, and from a bench. I've used the same ghetto bench for several years and always think of making something better. But I am worried the traditional bench with a cutout for resting your elbow, and the way you sit closer into that cutout area, would interfere with cocking the springer.

Any springer shooters care to comment? Do you use a traditional bench with the cutout? If so, do you have to slide away from the bench to cock the springer, then back?

Since I can't carry a bench into the woods I do almost all shooting hunter class field target style sitting on a bucket resting the gun on cross sticks. Matter of fact, "bucket and sticks" is the exact same way I would do "still hunting" for squirrels when living in West Virginia!  The reason I don't shoot from a bench is that the point of impact from my recoiling HW95 is different from a bench than when shot "bucket and sticks". LOL....I don't need to "slide away" when I'n sitting on a bucket.
