Old Pellets Found and New Pellets Sing

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me anything about these pellets?  I found 3 full tins and a shooting stick while helping a friend move.  He's lived there for years and has no idea what/where they came from.

Also, while shooting .22 Daisy Pointed pellets, they tend to "sing" or ring out while in-flight.  Anyone else notice this while shooting?

I use to shoot those, when they were still available. Many of my guns liked them just fine.

Pretty sure they were made by Gamo/Spain. The wadcutters appeared to be identical to the Old Gamo match pells. Light and accurate economy-grade pells.

Equally sure they were distributed in Canada as “Ruko Match”


The new Gamo match pells come from China, and are inferior in my guns. Shame too, as I bought alot of the older design, which seem to be no longer available.

In short, should be decent ammo. My 822 loved the pointed ammo

Many years ago (about 60) when the only pellets I knew were crosman flat nose ones, they used to give a ringing sound when I shot them outdoors at a distance with the full 8 or 10 pumps.  I don't hear that anymore -- or maybe my hearing aids just don't pick up the higher frequency.
