My Benjamin hand pump wont work ( Handle won't come up )

My Benjamin hand pump quit working yesterday while I was trying to fill my Discovery It filled it a little but then the handle would not come up could this be that little o-ring everybody talks about im thinking it might be a check valve I have had the pump about 4 years now and from what I have read its about time for a rebuild Elton...

thats a bummer!  i've had my benji pump for a while, several thousand strokes, never a hitch!  My next hand pump will be a hill, but i'm not sure why... the Benji has been good to me!

Mine died on me in less than a year, I put new orings in it, and it worked for a little while and did the same thing (hard on the upstroke) now I've got the TAOUSA which is just like an Air Venturi G6, now I seen on the forum where a guy posted one for $69.95 on ebay

My benji pump did the exact same thing.  Went on line and watched someone on you tube take the pump apart, clean and relube.  I followed the instructions (easy) and my pump then worked like new.  Make that better than new as my pump was kind of sluggish when I first got it.

Yep, time to do a rebuild. It is easy to do and it would be my guess it is the small o-ring at the end of the piston rod.

Thanks Everybody for your reply good news I fixed it it was that little o-ring everybody talks about it was easy to fix to I got a pack of 100 viton o-rings coming I all so have a 2nd hand pump a air ventury are all pumps built the same
