Which to trust? Maximus/Discovery gauge or Benjamin pump gauge?

I just got a Maximus and noticed for the Maximus built in gauge to show 2000psi the pump itself shows well over 2000PSI-- almost at the 150 bar mark.
Which is to be believed, i.e. which is more accurate?  It would seem the pump gauge should be, but not sure.

In general,pump gauges are more accurate,but a true,reliable reading require a good industrial gauge ,almost to check by comparison.
Industrial gauges are +/-1,5% rated,our gauges are far from this.

Until you can check against a verified gauge, I would always go with the more conservative of the two. Better to short fill and avoid a potentially dangerous situation.

Worked n Gauge-Cal program when I was in the Navy.  Tuning a bourdon tube and making the tiny adjustments is fun- if you have standardized equipment.  I doubt most of us do, so I always go conservative- better to err and be low than have a surprise

While going with the lowest one is THE SAFEST WAY, I would split the difference as long as it was only a couple hundred PSI difference ... if it were 300 or more difference I would likely go with the rifle's gauge.
