Trigger shoe for a RWS 34

I know I don't "need" one with the TO6 trigger but I wanted to try one anyway and see what difference it makes in ease and consistency of pull direction/pressure. Dos anyone have an online source they could give me the link to? A Google search turned up some but if anyone has actual experience with one of them I'd really be glad for a link/recommendation/review. I saw an article once about making your own out of a piece of PVC but that doesn't appeal to me.

Many years ago I wanted one for a rimfire rifle and found one through an online paint ball gun supply site. What I found in my particular experience was that the shoe "made my trigger finger shorter". Had to alter my grip to access the shoe/trigger, which in turn became an un-natural uncomfortable grip, I no longer use it. If you have extra large hands your experience may be better.

Hmm, well I just happen to have a 34 with the T06 trigger, and a trigger shoe on my Crosman 2240. I will see if it fits the 34 and try it out if it does. I will get back to you with my findings.

I like trigger shoes, and I have them on several guns.  I have both homemade and commercial.  They spread the force out over more nerve endings so the trigger feels lighter without changing the force required to get it to break.  I believe they also promote consistent trigger address (i.e., finger positioning).  You might try a long established gunsmithing shop - I purchased a couple here locally.  It was just a matter of taking the gun in to the shop to fit the trigger width and curve radius.  The larger, newer sporting goods concerns will either give you a blank stare or try to disguise their ignorance by declaring that if they don' have it you don't need it.

Once you have the model number you could go used - E-Bay currently has a number of offerings.

Be aware that the trigger shoe might not fit through the trigger slot in your stock.  Be prepared to remove the shoe every time you disassemble the gun, or perhaps remove wood from the slot.

I switched to a grippy fingertip type shoe. Works well for me on 3 of my guns.

Tried a smooth wide shoe and didn't like it. Also tried wider grippy shoes but prefer the minimalist shoes above.

Very nice job on some of these DIY shoes. I may have to make one myself because it seems that most commercial versions fit a curve the diameter of a quarter and the TO6 trigger is much flatter. I've PM'd a couple of you but I'm thinking another option I might have is to put a piece of Saran wrap on the trigger, then push a small ball of JB Weld putty on it. When it's dry, the Saran Wrap will let me pull the putty off and I can file it or Dremmel it to a good shape. Any thoughts?
