Cometa Lynx, What is that valve?

I saw a topic in other site talking about this valve as it can increase velocity. I did open the valve a little tying to get the max velocity but after 5 or 6 shoots the rifle stop working like there's no air in the bottle.

When I turn it back to close everything restored.

Did you have manual with the gun? If not download it from the cometa site. That is on/off valve for the airflow from the tank/reg setup. Have you tried to adjust the hammer spring tension yet?

The manual it comes with it didn't talk about that. Good Idea downloading the manual.

Yes adjusted the hummer by turn the screw CW makes a good different.

Good to hear, did you get the fps you wanted? It gets a bit heavy to cock when the hammer spring is maxed but it's not that bad when the cocking cycle is smooth

Well I didn't get the spring to the last. But I can see the power is upgraded, also the air consumption.
I think I'll stop this limit.

After adjusting the hammer spring tension, i tested the power on a 1 inch Piece of wood, the following pictures shows the Entrance and exit pellets holes..

I can say it's become more strong than I thought.

Glad that i could help  Cometa has also good exploded views on their guns so you can see whats going on inside. Try to get hold of some good 18grain pellets, lynx likes them

Sure I'll collect the 18 gr. Where ever I can find. But I see the side lever works very smoothly with jsb diabolo but it's hard to cock with Gamo magnum.

Yeah, i think that some pellets have wider skirt so they are resisting when the pellet probe pushes them out of the magazine to the barrel. Usually that's sorted when you make a bit more determined loading movement, than just pushing slowly the cocking lever forward.
