I've heard Frog Lube works pretty good but haven't tried it myself.

Frog lube is for running a dry gun.  That is, once your parts are properly applied, you wipe off and run dry.  You can't put any other lube on it, it won't stick.  It's all frog or nothing, unless you apply it to a specific area.  For example, I didn't choose to frog my AR receiver, but I did frog my buffer tube.

Bryan, the 50%/50% mix is what I and many others use in aviation working on anything that needs lubing on airplanes.  I know it works great on rubber seals as well in our use.
I have never heard of it as a solvent but I'm not sure. 

As Ron said maybe for now it's best not to use it in high pressure areas of your guns.

It's suppose to break down gunk in a engine? I figure it will do the same thing in a pneumatic air gun? No doubt it's not a good idea to use it in a springer.

As far as synthetics go, what does the group think of something like Slick 50 for the lube in the hammer area? Really no seals to worry about.

bead hone or frog lube.
I wouldn't use slick 50 on a can opener
