thanks Scott. I do not have a CM tube here to measure, or I would have. 
And didn't know if the Cm was the same specs as the Alu. tube.


I think I will order some CM and mill it to match all fittings of the Alu. tube.


Seems a ball hone will be in order as well.

That's a fine looking rifle right there. Congratulations. Did they end up keeping the titanium plenum tube for the HP, or did they go back to only aluminum? Their web site says titanium. I would be down for one of those builds with titanium.

TI tubing had tube ID surface imperfections and would not create an air tight seal with valve or drop block ... JSAR went to Chrome Moly STEEL tubing on the HP models

Scott that's very nice to know about the chrome molly tubing because that is some really tough stuff, you won't need to have a specialized hammer like you would for aluminum either, a very wise choice IMO !!!

It has been pretty common practice in recent years to NOT be using steel hammers in steel tubes but MDS or similar plastics to get away from requiring lubrication in this area.  The use of a MDS nylon shelled steel hammer by JSA in the aluminum just made sense. staying with the same in the CM tube is a no brainer.   With these balanced valves opening so easy there is NO NEED for a heavy steel hammer anyways.

Right on Scott. I have enjoyed changing all of my Marauders, Brods, and WAR Flex over to use a MDS hammer. It is so much nicer than even a honed and/or lubricated tube with steel hammer.
