It will be very satisfying to do it yourself. A spring compressor is very easy to build out of a set of metal carpenter clamps. Take it apart, clean it and lube it with Moly paste. Really quite simple. I bought mine new in 1994 and didn't shoot it much because of the horrible trigger. After tuning it is one of the best triggers I have. One thing I did that isn't in the tune instructions was to install a Teflon slide between the trigger and trigger bar. No friction. 3 pound pull. Here is a link to the trigger tune.

Have fun.

If you will look toward the front of the trigger @@@'y you will see a pin that goes all the way trough and seems to have no function. I took a small piece of Teflon block and fashioned a comma shaped piece out of it. The pin goes through the large end of the "comma" and the tail extends to fit between the trigger lever and lower sear. The tail is approx 1/16" thick. This gets rid of the friction. After polishing everything I had a 6# trigger pull. After installing the Teflon piece it is just a little over 2# with no creep. Excellent trigger.
Hope this helps.

I found a fabrication shop in our area that builds equipment for the food industry. They use a lot of Teflon as it is sanitary and super tough and nothing will stick to it. They gave me a piece of scrap they had cut off a larger block. Look around for a fab shop and I'll bet they will have it or tell you where you can find it.
Good luck.

Diy for sure. The Turkish daisy springers are great rifles, lots of potential for a small investment
