Naw it's better to have both.  I shoot my AT-44s as much as I shoot my Sumatras.  I actually shoot the 22 cal AT-44 more than the Sumatra.  It's just as accurate if not more since it's regulated and just a great gun to shoot long distance. But I think every air gunner should have 22 and 25 cal Sumatras.  The original all-in-one airguns.

Yes!  Or single load.  I shot them in my Disco with DPV and Escape with 24' .22 barrel.  Did very well.  Don't remember what length was---very long...lol.  Had chrony numbers but misplaced that info.  Make sure you have a .22 shooter that can handle that weight.

Thanks for making me feel better Norman, despite Manny's efforts,lol!  I think the Sumatras are awesome, but I have an AT-44 that pretty much does everything I need it to do, and does it well.  I don't have a lot of $$ to throw around, and me Hatsan is what I have right now   My biggest gripe is the thickness of the magazine, which means I can't shoot pellets much over 25 grains.  In all honesty, I probably shouldn't be shooting anything with a .22 that I need that much more weight anyway.  Like others have mentioned, I would just like a heavier pellet that is as accurate as the 18-21 grain options out there.  The 25.39 JSB .22s are very picky about being accurate...

[/quote] I own now an at44 .177, an at44 .22 long, and bt65 .25 all regulated I would not trade them for any other rifles.
But what you said is a good idea having both. I have been thinking on sumatras or bull pups I don't know what brand yet. But im thinking about it all the time yes 10 4

I still say if I could only have one PCP it would be a 22 cal Sumatra.  On power setting 2 it shoots crosman premier pellets over 900 fps for about 25 fpe.  And you can get heavier pellets and dial up the power to well over 60 fpe.  And they shoot just about any pellet very good.  I have no doubt it will shoot this new pellet well also. It will probably get over 70 fpe.  So basically you can have a gun that acts like a 117 cal up to a 30 cal by just changing pellets and adjusting the power...
