Cool while you have the stock off I need you to look into something.

The front sling swivel stud is just screwed into a plastic "pole" that's molded into the stock, if you put a lot of pressure (forward or backward) the piece will break. (It did on my mrod when I pushed forward on the bipod to steady shots off the bench.)

I would suggest beefing up this area.
I dremeled the pole off, put in a piece of flat aluminum that I cut to size of the area.
Then put a regular sling swivel stud with a nut through the aluminum.
It greatly increased the strength. And distributes the force over a wider area.


Others have used other ways to strengthen this area.

We're still very busy at work. I'm the old geezer that knows how to 'get er done' so a lot of work migrates to my bench.
Weekends are my days for puttering around with my hobbies.
Coleman lanterns and stoves are another interest of mine. At one time I had 75 lanterns all in working order. I'm down to 8 of my favorite lanterns now.

Another project for this summer will be another coat of paint on my support wagon.


And I am thinking of doing another one of these in Olive Drab.

So it looks like my summer will be busy.
Last summer was spent recovering from a pinched sciatic nerve.
Still isn't 100% but way better than last year.

My Benjamin K valve scuba yoke adapter arrived to day so I stopped by the local dive shop and picked up a tank for $99.00 today.

Cool, assuming you fill to 2700 psi,shoot down to 1800,  and the scuba tank is 80cft.
Your marauder is 215cc's

You can fill it about 16 times before dropping below 2700.

But you can fill partials below that and finish pumping the last few hundred psi to 2700.

Weekend is here and I have time to do a little more.
Moved the Pulsar IR light to the forearm. Much better location, doesn't hang out as far as it did mounted on the scope.
Also got the UTG side wheel installed.


I'll start on mounting the camera later today.
Will be heading to Eastern WA. soon so I get some time with it.
All the toys don't make me a better shot, practice does.
