Need identification of this pistol

I picked this up at a gun show this morning. It has no identifying marks on it whatsoever. Looks like probably Chinese since its cheaply made. One-piece plastic grip with plastic front and rear sights. Breech seal is flattened and not enough power to even push out a 7.5gr pellet. I bought it as a project gun to learn to rebuild. Maybe it was a poor choice, but I bought it right and not going to go hungry because of it.

Is it a paperweight, a potential shooter or a diamond in the rough?

Never mind...just learned it's an XS-S2 Chinese throw away air pistol. Time to start dismantling an see if any parts are available to make it shoot again.

Can I ask what you paid for it ? Like 10$ or something ? Cause that's about the most i'd've paid for it. ( if you can make it work it should be a decent 10yd plinker ) it might be cool to attach a folding wire stock to it.

I had a couple of these given to me a couple of years ago. One had metal rear sights and wicked barrel droop and the other plastic sights and no droop. Took them both apart and made one good one out of them.
 oh yeah, one had synthetic piston seal and one a leather seal. I went with the leather.  also a leather breech seal I replaced with an O ring.
I cut the plastic rear sight off and super glued to the metal one as I could'nt get enough height. It worked!
 Don't expect a lot of power. It's good for punching paper, and aluminum cans, maybe 15- 20 feet.   
 No chrony, but it was maybe 300 fps.   
 Sold it When I needed money.    I'd grab another to play with!    Good Luck!

I have an improved version. Made in factory 316. They also make AKM's and SKS rifles.
Its not bad for what it is. The sear is not to be trusted.

that ones kinda cool looking, I like how it has a Walther p99 grip style to it.

Let's just say I was able to take the Mrs. out tonight to Ruby Tuesdays without a hiccup in my play money. It's just another lesson learned due to my newness into air rifles, and hopefully won't happen again.

Anyway, I dismantled the pistol and learned that the spring was broken in two place, and the breech seal is shot. I need to find a 5" spring and some o-rings and see how it shoots.

Yikes! Maybe you can find a donor pistol somewhere ?

A cut down B3 or quest spring may work. Measure the inside and outside diameter.
Is the piston seal ok ?. I would assume its leather. They can be perked up by soaking in oil or new ones made from scrap leather.

Its a Westlake S3 I believe. I took the front site off as it cuts into my hand and added a brake. The rear site was missing when I got it.

I've got an idea for a project for a S2-1 (I already own one in great condition with a wood grip that I'm not going to give up for the project, I enjoy it in its current form quite a lot for plinking) that would be great, but in my area I have no luck finding these pistols.

If anyone runs into a couple they don't want to keep, I'd happily take them off of their hands!

Yeah 100 min order. I would be spending more than that at once anyway, so I never really thought about that.

Thanks for the link, but what I was looking for was more of a extra project pistol than anything. Not really wanting to order $100 minimum from that site, when I'm already ordering a custom Crosman 2300 pistol, and picking up a Crosman Wildcat for my wife, a 760 for my daughter, a Ruger Impact for my dad, and a Sheridan Cowboy for my mom. I was planning to possibly grab a 1322 or 2240 as well, and at that point I'll be spent out for airguns, lol.

My S2-1 project idea would have to be on the budget side if it is going to happen at all (wanting to turn one into a carbine with a homemade wood stock and longer barrel, all done by me).
