You need a bigger lawn or ask a neighbor if you can stretch out over theirs. Way more fun plinkin' at distance. Just a change of wind toward you or at your back will greatly effect the elevation correction out past 50 yrds. I'm still tinkering with post tune gun and have scope issues so not out that far lately.
For winter and while trouble shooting scope and such I've a table in the garage with wood heat. Open garage door, wait for most of the heat waves to disapate and take a few shots then close the door. It's actually quite nice. Coffee doesn't get cold as fast as being out in the elements.
Here's my current winter set up. First plywood target backer is a measured 35 yards (left of snow castle- son wont let me call it a fort). Other to right was placed prior to moving into garage so I just checked it by pacing. More or less 160ft- 53.5 yards. I've got the room to go longer. Once the new scope comes I can range out to 200ft or more no problem over corner of pond. I' be in plinkers heaven if not for scope trouble.

Wow right out of the box id been happy with that at 10 yards , you were the lucky one .
Range is 5o yards total with heavy gauge galvanized sheet metal angled as back stops, photo taken at 5 yard so targets could be seen.
