What to expect from this combo "54 and Leupold efr"

Hey all.

So I just sighted in my new scope and so far It is everything the reviews said. Leupold efr 3-9x33. Rifle is a RWS 54 in .22
Rifle has only about 300-350 pellets through it now.

Sighted at 20 yards with jsb exact jumbo 15.89 gr as they seem very good in this rifle. Others I used were HN FTT 14.5gr? And cphp. Neither are as tight as the jsb.

My "rest" is my four wheeler seat as a bench with a pillow abd blanket on the seat. I need bags of some sort?

Best group was 8 shots roughly 3/8" and this was outside not calm. Enough wind to have the grass moving all around.

I had 3 shots in one big hole.
When I moved to 40 yards the best group was still the jsb and 4 of 6 shots I covered with a nickle. Two fell outside that.

The groups dropped about 3" at 40 does that seem about right?

One thing really cool is at 40 I could see every pellet fly I think because the rifle is "recoilless" and the scope is clear.

Do you pros think I have more accuracy to get out of this? I know its up to the shooter too.

I'm no pro, but I can tell you it will be as consistent as you are, which already sounds pretty darn good. 4/6 under a nickel at 40 is good shooting. Lots of trigger time and finding the perfect pellet will bring out the best in the gun, as with any other rifle. Sounds like you've gotten a winner!

Yeah I dont have much time with this combo but do have lots of time behind other air rifles. Ive had ny rws 36 for 19 years now. That seems like a petite toy compared to the heft of the 54.

In other news...how has the shooting been? The action should be smoothing out by now.

No, Appleton, WI.

Yeah it has become a lot smoother then the first shot. It wasn't bad at first just not a refined feeling.
We're getting hammered with snow right now so snowblowing will be my fun for tomorrow!
