Vintage Air Gun Gate / Re: Can someone explain what the "bearing" is on a Sheridan Blue Streak?« Last post by Back_Roads on Today at 03:27:31 PM »Another possibility: your bolt lug may not be protruding enough to reliably grab the hammer and pull it back. You noted cutting it shorter because it 'came through the other side', but maybe it only needed to be backed off a bit from fully screwed in position.Note on making a socket for the lug removal. I use a socket head screw head 3/32nds IIR as a socket wrench , and a vise grip to turn it. 25

PCP/CO2/HPA Air Gun Gates "The Darkside" / Re: PCP Compressor« Last post by Dozer on Today at 03:27:12 PM »Ignore the email it will ship I did translate one and that was the guest of it . Thanks Bill & James. With all the phishing scams going on now I feel like only amazon will get my money. I don't want it to be like that. Amazon doesn't carry everything. I'm really hoping that the GXCS3-1 I ordered is authentic and capable of filling my small dive/rescue bottle. Now I need to find more regulated bottles. 27

PCP/CO2/HPA Air Gun Gates "The Darkside" / Re: Moisture in the tank.« Last post by JimD on Today at 03:25:04 PM »There is a large middle ground between depending on the filter (if any) on the hand pump or compressor and putting on one of the huge golden color filters Tuxing offers. I don't think doing nothing is a great plan but I think we can overkill it too. I have one of those giant filters and have never used it. I use an extra filter about twice the size of the stock YH filter filled with color changing bead dessicant. I vent the YH every 5 minutes during fills of my 45 minute SCBA. I change the beads when they change color but that is maybe once a year. I change the absorbent filter that came with my YH after every bottle fill largely because it shows significant oil absorption. I opened one of my P35s yesterday. The 22 caliber that shoots so well I was reluctant to touch the internal regulator. So the air tube hadn't been opened in over 3 years and thousands of shots. Not a trace of water. No corrosion, no visible water, nothing. So I think what I am doing is enough, despite the high humidity here in the summer. If I had founds of moisture, I would be figuring out what additional step I was going to take.
