Will we need any other upgrades for the Hatsan tubes? Or can one get by with swapping factory parts ?

JSAR Short tube is now assembled and full of air. I'll let it sit awhile and watch for any leak.
So far it's great!
The long tube is a tad tight on the gauge end. It's the section beyond the threads where the o-ring seals.
A slight sanding of the gauge itself should solve that easy enough. You can crank the assembly down but I'd not recommend that!!

You may need to sand the inside of the plastic barrel band some if the tube is a tight fit on your gun. I make my own barrel bands so that is not an issue I have.

The tubes are a little longer then stock so may be a problem with the QE shroud. I've not put the Guns together to check this yet. That's an easy fix if need be.

Over all I'm a happy buyer at this point.

I got my short tube installed on the AT44 Tactical .22, now with a weight of 10 pounds with 3 full clips of poly mag shorts a compact scope and a bipod, oh and I almost forgot a 2900 psi charge of air  ;)
It just passed by the QE shroud I think I left a scratch on the tube getting there, I'm afraid to look  :o
I did run the fill probe section along a large file, basically just enough to take the anodizing off, and it screwed right in with no other issues. I blame Hatsan for making my parts out of spec. ;)

Good to hear!
I need to put new O-rings on my short as it leaks. That's my fault for not doing that right off.
I'll also be installing a Huma reg to check that fit for issues.

If the tube is a tight fit with the QE shroud?
Take the shroud off and add a thin washer near the breech end before the metal shroud washer thing.

LOL I am pushing my luck with the original o rings, but they are still holding after being R & R'd 3 times now. On the other hand I should get a depinger so save the new o rings till then. Thanks for the washer tip, I will add that touch then also :)

It's a simple thing to space the shroud forwards a tiny bit.
An 1/8th inch washer should be enough. An o-ring or 2 will probably work if you don't want to make a washer.

Is it just me , or does the aluminum tube have less ping than the steel tubes, I was going to add a depinger, but thought about what I was hearing as not as noticeable.

Aluminum is softer, so it has a little more sound damping than steel.

when will the gen2 mrod tubes be back in stock ?

Minimum four weeks. We'll post when a batch is finished.

Thanks Travis and JSAR for producing the Hatsan tubes. Loving both of mine even with the little quirks.
May be a bit off topic but I do have a question.
Could you make an end piece to replace the fill gauge area that uses a male foster fitting instead of the probe?
Dump the gauge and have a slight angle for the foster.
Would be great for hooking a 3000 PSI tank up for bulk.

I think Jeff wants those cookies now LOL
\ Though it is not a bad idea, and several others have inquired recently of such a setup might be possible to make one with a gauge and foster that would closely resemble the Hatsan setup.

I may try to thread the fill probe area. Attach the male foster on one side and then a plug for the other.
Only problem is you'd need to remove the foster to remove the tube.
But I have a Disco that I have to remove the foster if I do any work on the tube so does that really matter?

Thank you Matt for your correct usage of the term "Damping" rather than the common misuse of the term as "Dampening" (which requires spritzing with dihydrogen oxide)! It brought a smile to my face! :)

I'm getting a little tired of all the PM's about fitment issues with the Hatsan tubes.
I suggest you include the instructions about the gauge fitment problem with all Hatsan tubes We have posted.
You may also warn people the Huma may not fit without work.

That would be the proper way to do things or pay me for my time.
Maybe just send me back the AT44 tube I loaned you with the gauge and valve!
I didn't get a break on the price of the tubes I bought.

We only made 10 and have no plans on making more. They didnt sell well and it was really done for members here.

Then I'll be seeing my AT44 tube soon?
Since you only made 10? I can see upping the price on the 2 I have.

Sounds like Jeff is not happy.  I would recommend the 2 of you get on the phone to resolve it.
