With the input from some here on the list, I decided that a HW95 would make a nice "iron sight" rifle for me. Ordered one today from AOA along with a Williams peep sight (FP-AG-TK). He said they were back ordered for 3-5 weeks and I kind of figured that would be the case from what others have stated. He did inform me that they do have some .22 in stock though.
That certainly is a good price.
The countdown begins! :D

Congratulations on purchasing a fine rifle. 8) I think you will love it. They are excellent shooters and not extremely heavy to tote around if you choose. Quality is first rate IMO.
Sorry you have to wait. That's the tough part.

Ordered mine the last week of July. Its a .177. Should be here by Friday. Wish had changed my order to .22. Bought two other guns in .177 since placing order. Gotta get another in .22, either a HW 98 or AA prosport in .22. Gotta buy my own xmass present. Ha Ha. Only have one good .22

Good for you, Ted. We'll be waiting for a range report. :)

Congrats!! Don't forget to post some pictures.

Congratulations. The HW95 is an excellent choice.

Congrats Ted! Got your Ballistol ready? I heard the rumor as did everyone, and snagged a 22 last week. Should be here Thursday. Can't go wrong for 3 bills.
Peep sight... Classic. That gun should wear it well.

Congrats!
I have a HW97 in .20 but wanted another rifle in .177. So I ordered one and just received my 95 in .177. I figured for $89, refurbished, thought it was a good deal, and no waiting. Great rifle, I'm talking about a Hatsun 95. Sure, I wish it was a Weirauch. And it loves my Crosman heavy domed pellets. :)

I've had my HW95 .177 for a month or so, and I like it, too. However, its spring could use some tuning as I can feel/hear after-shot vibrations and its comfy cheek piece is sculpted only on the left side of the butt, not for the lefties. It would take so little change to make it perfect...

Just got my Ha-Vee95 in 22 yesterday. Scoped and Shot it today for a little. Very well behaved. High-end quality. Velocity as advertised. Dime groups @ 20 yds benched. No evidence of being bungled up with goo. Not as well-dressed as the wife's R9, but has appealing visual aspects on it's own. (wife's is 177, and both calibers are great.)
I YIKE IT AYOT.
Ted, if you're listening, you're in for a treat! :P

Glad to hear Grover! Hope she continues to perform for you. I try not to think about mine too much since it will be a few weeks before I get it. But, the Pro Sport I bought today will help tie me over! :D

GET OUT! Did you go walnut this time? 177?
-
No, no walnut... beech. Bought it from a fellow GTA member this morning. Posted about it in the UK gate.

Congrats. I have only had mine a few days but it was well worth the wait. I love this thing. I am sure you will enjoy yours as well.
