Title: Old Bushy Tail ran out of luck

Took my 36 fishing today on the Leon River, just in case I saw a squirrel. Sure enough this guy showed up and made my day. I shot him with a new pellet I am trying,  the Hassan Vortex 8.6 grain. He died in his tracks.

Thanks. Yeah, especially if you consider that the shot was made on a moving platform that was moving the opposite direction of the animal. The squirrel was on the ground headed down stream and I was headed up stream when I saw him. I cut the engine pulled my 36 up and waited for him to stop running. He stopped about 25 yards down stream for a second and I dropped him.  It was first time I had boat hunted with a scope on my 36. I find it easier to make moving shots with open sights. But it was not as hard I as thought it would be.

Hunting squirrel from a boat is a lot different then ground stalking,  but it sure is fun.  Plus you get to catch fish!
