Here is the link to the video of me casting .30 cal 61 grain pellets to show the speed that one can cast using a single cavity pellet mold the mold also cast a 53 gr pellet using a optional base insert

That's awesome!! As soon as I get paid again, I'm getting one of these molds!
-
thank you remember there is a 6 to 8 week turn around to get the mold made and when you are ready email africanairordnance@gmail.com
We also make pellet molds in 9mm ,45 and 50cal

Sweet. Im in no rush. My .30 is still being built. ???
-
Any reports on how well they shoot?
-
Will you sell samples of these pellets in the different weights? Since there are so many variables on how any pellet will work in a particular gun some, including me, are hesitant to jump in with both feet buying a mold that makes pellets that may or may not perform well.

I'm with Norman. I've been known to pizz money away with reckless abandon, but to spend $150-$200 on a mold that my barrel may not like has me thinking.
I don't mind paying for 50 or 100 samples. Only takes 20-40 to maybe see how they perform, I can then share what's left with a fellow member perhaps.^^

Could that 30 caliber, 61 grain pellet be fired using a Raw HM1000X .30 caliber Air Rifle? Just wondering . . .??

Norman, he will sell you samples, that is what I did before I bought the mold. Just email him at africanairordnance@gmail.com and let him know what you want to do. He uses paypal for payment. Also give a physical address, no p.o. boxes. When you decide on what you want he will send you a paypal invoice to your email address. It takes about 2 weeks to get here.

Not sure if I missed in another post somewhere, but has anyone posted any results from the molds? I have not seen any groups from anyone who got a mold here in the States.

Pretty much my initial question, but you worded it mo better than I.

yes I do sell samples for people to try out . Shipping via DHL is $35 for 500 grams But its important to note each mold made is a one of a kind as no 2 molds are exactly identical because each cutter is hand made to as close to the design as possible and the cutter is good for only one cavity .
So if you were to buy a double cavity mold with different base insets, so each cavity can cast 2 different weight pellet the double cavity mold will actually cast 4 different pellets .
So even if I send you samples of a design for you to try . the mold you will get may have very slight differences from the sample. I don't stock molds each mold is made to order
Making pellet molds is not easy as if it were all mold makers would make them we do our best to make a quality product .

That's a lot for shipping. I have to consider other options

Well if you consider its coming via DHL from South Africa and takes 5 days I could use our local postal service who sadly spends most of the time Striking and stealing our mail .
Also I could be wrong but Im the only guy as far as I know who is making Pellet molds for Casting Pellets for big bore air guns

Norman, if this will help, I did it and it was worth it to me. I thought the same thing but the carnivore was driving me crazy with it only being able to shoot one brand of pellet, now I have the opportunity to shoot 4 variations of pellets from the same mold.
Jeremy did ship me samples through a company that I was unfamiliar with and custom went through it before UPS received it. The mold came through DHL with out being hacked up by customs. Keep in mind you are shipping from South Africa and yes it's going to cost more and take a little longer to get here. But from what I have seen on the internet, Jeremy is probably the only one right now that is making pellet molds on the internet.
The mold is very well made considering it was handmade and not done on a cnc. The cherry cutter to make the cavity was cut by hand. The cutter can only make one cavity at a time and the machinist has to make another cutter. They cast with no problems, they just drop right out of the mold, they are uniform and the weight is consistant, they roll straight, no wobble, no circling. The mold is made of no.16 iron, so it is going to be heavier than an aluminum mold. You can use the Lee handles with it, I had to grind the handles a little to get the mold to mate up right, after that everything went fine.
I shot some of them at 20yds and they just kept going in the same hole, 6 rounds in each hole, one group was the heavier pellet. The red circles are the groups that I shot. The next pic is a 76gr, 85gr, and then the jsb. These are from the .357 mold.

I understand there are a lot of variables when shipping internationally-I just have to think before dropping this kind of cash. I have a great bullet mold that works with my 35 cal but wanted the option for heavier pellets for my 30 cal since bullets don't seem to shoot well in a 30 cal except 308.

I had the same problem with the carnivore, it does not like slugs very much, I paid $55 to have Jeremy send me samples. If they didn't work and I didn't loose much but they did work. So I ordered the mold. This mold has already saved me $50 in shooting pellets this week and I can reuse the spent pellets to cast more. The mold will have paid for itself by the end of the year if not sooner. Yes I have sunk money into other molds and it didn't pan out but I kept on trying till I found the right one. That's just part of owning these big bore guns, they are a huge investment. My wallet is extremely strained right now but I couldn't see owning a rifle that had to be limited to one brand of ammo that could cost me $20 a tin and sit in a gun case most of the time because of the limitations it had. If I had to do it all over again, I would. I hate seeing a gun sitting in a closet. Good luck in finding the right ammo for it. ;)
