Title: SCBA tanks 5/2004 Born on date - 2014 Hydro
Post by: BigTinBoat on October 25, 2015, 11:29:46 PM
Looking for a tank to last a couple years? 3.5 or more? for under $100?

Looks like he only has 9 left. I clicked the "Make Offer" button and he accepted $75 (that's with free shipping). Mine arrived 2 days ago. It's charged up and ready to go via my used Freedom 8.

What kind of adapter do you use to hook up to that tank?

Mine looks just like this one - it's CGA347 to Foster QC.

Hey guys, I'm new to PCP and am thinking of picking up this tank. How many years of use can I expect out of something like this? Should I inspect it for damage or will the fill station check it out for me?

The tanks are "born on" 5/2004 so they are good till 5/2019. They need to be hydro statically tested every 5 years. These tanks were tested on 5/2014 so they will not need another test during their DOT life time. Tanks could (and likely will( last longer but per DOT regulations commercial fill locations cannot legally fill them beyond the 5/2019 date. I personally "visually" inspect my own tanks, and also fill them
