So here we go, good start this morning with the female barking at me across the yard and giving chase...
Now this afternoon I once again popped the front door opened, scanned the tree line and surrounding yard. Suet feeders still intact...
Then, out of the corner of my eye, a little guy makes his way back into the woods dividing my property and the cross street. So I pursued him for a little bit, but I lost him after fighting my way thru the thick brush.. in crocs.. bad decision lol :(
Hour or two passed, did some dishes, ate some lunch, and watched a little tv... decided to pop my head back out, something, gut feeling, told me to load the gun and make a stroll around the yard. Wasn't expecting much since it's midday...
5 steps out into the yard, out of the corner of my eye, he scurries up a small oak next to a shed, and I followed him, one eye in the scope, the other open following his position on the trees he was hopping thru.
He froze on the second oak that he sprang to. Just long enough, and at a perfect distance, no wind... I lined up on his eye and pulled the trigger sending the H&N Excite Hammer 14.66gr flying towards him.... and THWACK!!! he did the same crazy jump the lady squirrel did earlier that morning.... boy was I flustered... Thinking my accuracy was all off.... and mind you, this gun loves these pellets... but little did I know I hit him, and he was stunned stupid. Tried jumping to another oak and made it... clinging for dear life....
I reloaded, and pumped the gun up to 13 pumps once again... lined up on his eye once more (He was closer now) and let that H&N Excite Hammer go.... THWACK!!! right in the fuse box this time! He dropped and did a little death roll, and expired within 10secs of contact with the ground.
Today has been a good opening to what I'm hoping is an eventful season for me and this little 1322!!!
Thanks for reading!

I like the looks of that barrel length. Is that a 14.5"? It looks a little longer.

Hit the nail on the head, 14.5" barrel, all my parts have been ordered thru Davio over at Alchemy Airwerks.
That little 2" Delrin Muzzle brake is what sort of stretches the looks of the barrel.
Hope all us Texan shooters can gather one day and let loose on some targets!

Thanks for the info. The 2" brake looks great also.
I'd like to get down that way. Actually a little west out along the Frio, or north around Canyon and the Guadeloupe are some of my favorite places in Texas.
I like my rivers. Up in these parts the Brazos is king.

Good shooting and pic ;) and nutters can be tough little critters. They will keep on a chugging along even after a good hit. Ed
