I recencently purchased a new Webley Longbow .177 cal. I was amazed at how nice the gun looked. I fired it twice and immediatly tore it apart even though it seemed to be shooting great. I went ahead and deburred everything, dressed the piston up and made a new steel spring guide the original one was plastic. After cleaning and re-lubing everything i put it back together and mounted a leapers 3-9x50 scope and one piece utg mount. The rifle wasn't even broken in and i was cutting holes at 25yds and dime sized groups at 50yds. Using rws r10 match rifle pellets I chronied it and got numbers in the 760 range.. Picky as i am i decided to work on the trigger so i tore the action back out of the stock and shimmed the trigger and replaced the adjustment screw with a longer one. Now i could adjust it down to less then 2lbs with a crisp let off very predictable. But i noticed the safety didn't work. Sooo back to tearing it out once more.. This time i drilled and tapped a new hole in the trigger to place a second adjustment screw. After putting everything back together i turned the first screw in some to get rid of the 1st stage and turned the second screw in a lil at a time till it was crisp and about 2lbs or less also make sure the safety still functioned. In the pics you can see the new trigger adjustment screw. Now this rifles better shooting then any of the 15 airguns i own including beeman, rws and Benjamin. I still wanted to try one more thing the breech seal. I replaced it with a crosman breech seal from a Benjamin trail NP. The new breech seal was thin so i had to put an oring under it. Back to the chrony test now im right around the 800fps mark with little to almost no deviation in fps. For the price Paul's got one heck of a deal on an excellent airrifle. Wether you leave it stock or tune it up like i did. It easily out shoots or hangs with your mnore expensive air rifles. Thanks again Paul.

-
Yes i bought it from paul and yes i made the trigger seond stage adjustable in the pic you can see the new screw i put it in it. I figured for the price id give one a shot and with alil work this thing turned out awesome.
-
yeah for the price Paul has been offering them at, can't hardly go wrong doing a wee bit of tinkering on it...... congrats......Turkey guns can be made into terrific shooters with a little effort.........

I can pull the trigger and take a pic if anyone wants to know were to put the new screw.

I've been loving my longbow since the day i got it from Paul, the Lothar walther barrel are what making it so darned accurate, i agree, it's the most accurate spring gun i've ever shot. I love the mods you've done to yours, very impressive and i'm glad to know what seal from crosman you had success with, parts for these guns are hard to come across. Glad you love your gun as much as i do, heres the report on mine.

Here pics of the trigger removed from the gun. As for screw I had some screws that werer the same thread as the original adjustment screw. Im sure an allen head or something else would look better then what i used but I had these laying around.

looks like you've found a way to cure the beast! very good I'm impressed.

Thats some pretty cool work. Great job and thanks for the pics. Its always nice when you dont have to spend a boat load of cash and end up a nice custom shooter.

This is the crosman part number for the breech seal i used B12-00-14 You will have to shim it with an oring i used one out of a harbor freight assortment pack the new breech seal gave me almost 40fps gain its a harder material.

I've used the HW breech seals it my UK Tommys and it works just fine.
