Title: Hatsan Carnivore Magazines?
Post by: rsterne on October 13, 2015, 06:29:21 PM
I need to know the length of the .30 and .35 cal magazines for the Hatsan Carnivores, and also the width of the opening in the breech.... New BBT designs, need to make sure they fit....

I went out and checked the magazine well and it was .538" plus a smidge.  I worked the bolt and the safety and nothing comes out to interfere with that measurement.  Regards, Tom

I just went out and checked the twist on the Bulldog barrel, without a doubt, it is 14".  Regards, Tom

Thanks, the magazine length isn't an issue.... A bullet made to fit the AirGunLab .30 cal MRod magazine maxes out at 0.450" long and ends up at 79 gr.... I don't think you will need anything heavier than that in .30 cal.... The shortest BBT I can make in .357 cal is 113 gr., also less than 0.450" long.... I can't imagine the Carnivore making more than 160 FPE in .30 cal or 225 FPE in .35 cal to need anything heavier than those....
