The biggest problem with shooting my Hatsan 125 Vortex, aside from the weight, is the very long length of pull. I made the problem much better by removing the rubber butt stock and covering the plastic butt plate with a two inch piece of Velcro, reducing the length of pull by about 1.75 inches. The rifle shoulders much easier now and the curvature of the stock fits the shoulder nicely. This mod can easily be reversed if I need to make the gun factory again. While I was at it I filled the hollow stock with Fiber Fill to reduce the hollow sound without adding significant weight. I find it much easier to shoot offhand now.
I was at Cabela's today and purchased the Dakota shotgun case, which the Hatsan 125 fits in nicely. It has been difficult to find a case for this rifle because of it's length.

Very nice!
I too had to resort to removing the butt pad. Not very comfortable... Your idea about the Vecro seems like just the trick!
Thanks for sharing that!
