Long story short, I got a new Chronograph, was off work, and the weather was perfect to use it. I got out the NP2 and fired a few shots finding it only getting 550 fps with CPUM 14.3, I ordered a piston assembly, spring, and breach seals. I was looking at the trigger and after testing it on my NP XL I ordered another for $15 from Crossman.

Very interesting! I have a GRTIII in my XL1100 but I might have tried the CBT from Crosman if I'd known that. Very happy with the tuna trigger though. Sorry about your NP2, hope you get 'er back up to snuff soon!

Did you try the GRT III in the XL? Can you give any kind of comparison between that and the NP2 trigger pack as far as adjustment and difficulty of pull?

The XL series has a different trigger pack part number, B22-06-00, than the regular NP, B18-05-00. I wonder if the NP2 trigger would drop into a Titan with the B18 trigger.

I have the GRT-III trigger in my Titan, and had it in my XL. The NP2 trigger is way better than the GRT-III. This is more to do with the internals than the trigger. I have Gene's black trigger in the NP2 trigger pack.
The reason the NP2 trigger is better is because it's an actual 2 stage trigger. You squeeze till you hit the wall then squeeze thru to fire. The old trigger was 1 stage no matter how I adjusted it.
As far as I can tell the trigger pack should drop in to any Trail series gun. The part number is ELS-100 and it's $15.
I'll post some pictures in a bit.

I think maybe I will do a tutorial on replacing the trigger pack. The anti-bear trap lever is plastic on the NP2 and shorter but the one from the XL fit in its place just fine and works perfectly.
I have 3 of Genes Triggers, 2 GRT-III and 1 CBR. Now, I have to order another NP2 trigger pack for my Titan GP.
I have a couple of second hand GRT-III triggers for sale, if anyone wants them....

I'm happy with the GTR in my XL but it did take a lot of messing with to get it to work properly. I did have to file about 1/8" off the "tab" on the anti-bear trap and did have the hair trigger initially. Also mine is a one stage trigger, never could get it adjusted for 2 stage. The CBR trigger in my NPS was a drop in/all done deal. Two distinct stages and a very nice clean break as you're describing with the NP2 trigger but maybe that's because you've already installed a CBR in it???

It was fine before installing genes trigger. I like to support the man.
